High Profile in 6th of October Governorate
It is located west of the Nile Valley ... Egypt is divided into 29 governorates and 1 self-governing city.
6th of October Governorate is one of the governorates of Egypt. The city was established in 1979 by the 504th presidential decree of president Anwar El Sadat It is 17km far from the great pyramids of Giza and 32 km far from Cairo downtown &it is in the north of the country (Lower Egypt) , it is located west of the Nile Valley. It was an extension of the Giza Governorate .

* Capital = 6th of October City
The 6th of October boundaries
The northern boundary : The administrative boundaries of the Markaz of Qseem , Imbaba and As-Sadat City (Al-Monoufeya governorate).
The southern boundary : The administrative boundaries of the 6th of October Qism on the boundaries of Al-Fayoum governorate.
The eastern boundary : The administrative boundaries of Giza governorate and the River Nile starting from the administrative boundary of Markazs of Giza and Hawamdeya in the north to the Markaz of Al-Badrasheen in the south.
The western boundary : The administrative boundaries of Al-Beheira and Matrouh governorates.
6th of October is famous for it's slight elevation, which causes a lower temperature compared to Cairo, as well as wide streets and organised division of the 13 districts of which it consists, No traffic jams and no place for pollution since the Industrial Zone was placed in the extreme southwest of the city.

The governorate was created in April 2008 .........
President Hosni Mubarak announced that 6th of October city was to be a separate and capital of the 6th of October Governorate.
